Norway
Paintings from travel from Bergen north to Kirkenes. My family lives northwest of Bergen on the coast in the same area that my grandmother was born and raised. I feel very fortunate to know them and try to visit every few years. Travels have been by auto, driving over 2,200 miles from Bergen to Kirkenes and by the coastal steamer three times as it follows the coast and makes 34 ports of call. Fabulous. Just plain fabulous country!

Denmark
Three of my grandparents immigrated to the U.S. from Denmark - Marstal, Horsens, and Staby. The Danish landscape is low rolling hills on many many islands and the main peninsula of Jylland. Many of the villages are under historic preservation standards and retain the character of hundreds of years of habitation. Great people, great food, and of course, great hospitality!

France
The idyllic French countryside is wonderful. Small family compounds dot the farmland with nearby villages providing the necessities. The cities all herald cathedrals that strain your neck to view and architecture right out of the pages of the history books. Fabulous canals and waterways to boat while enjoying the daily baguette and vin d'jour. Bon Appetit!

A photographer and painter's bonanza of huge skies and adobe buildings, new and old, are a delight to capture with my art.

My home. Where my heart will always be. Colorado has diverse terrain from the eastern plains to the Continental Divide to the western red rocks and rivers - travel never has to be far to find a completely different geography and lifestyle.

Mexico
Ah, manana... the wonderfully paced life of the Mexicans is one to immitate. Pleasant ocean breezes through the palms, fresh fruit galore, and today's catch fresh from the sea all add to a populace that enjoy life and their family while treasuring their heritage. Muy bueno!

Lake Powell
I've spent extended periods of time at Lake Powell in a variety of watercrafts from kayaks to large cruisers and houseboats. As a runner, the end of the water in the canyons offers even more opportunity for exploration on foot with my cameras. The incredible quiet of the canyons and clear night skies filled with an unbelieveable number of stars are inspirations to my artistic images.

Minnesota/North Dakota
At least once a year I head up north. I love the big wide open spaces with horizons that go on forever. Lots of characters up here, that's why I keep on coming back.

California
The Big Sur coast of California is spectacular. Rugged and steep, twisty and turny. I have many images of the area yet to be painted. Fantastic place!
